Commercial. FC Utrecht, Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital and Ubuntu Sport join forces for chronically ill children. It seems so obvious: children play sports and exercise; after all, it’s fun and healthy. But what if a child is chronically ill? And is often hospitalized? For many children it is not possible to take part in regular sports because of a disability or illness.
FC Utrecht has therefore started a sports program for chronically ill children in cooperation with the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital and Ubuntu Sport, the organizer of the FC Utrecht Experience. Working out at their own pace every week improves their condition. This has a positive effect on their fitness, motor skills, self-confidence and social life.
