Commercial. FC Utrecht, Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital and Ubuntu Sport join forces for chronically ill children.
It seems so obvious: children play sports and exercise, after all that is fun and healthy. But what if a child is chronically ill? And often in the hospital? For many children it is not possible to participate in regular sports because of a disability or illness. FC Utrecht has therefore started a sports program for chronically ill children in collaboration with the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital and Ubuntu Sport, the organizer of the FC Utrecht Experience. By exercising weekly at their own pace, the condition is improved. This has a positive effect on their fitness, motor skills, self-confidence and social life.
